I have close to 300 pictures to resize and upload and it's giving me a bloody headache. All you camwhores! Haha. Okay, back to those damn pictures.

On Monday, had a miniature food marathon with Prince and Xiao Huang. Well, Liyi already planned on taking off on monday and both of us would go and have tomyum from Al-Ameen. Then YongSheng smsed not long later wanting to go out and eat FOOD, so i guessed it all worked out pretty smooth. Didn't tell YongSheng that Liyi was coming, and he didn't even noticed Liyi at the other end of the row of seat i was at when he boarded the bus. Hahahaha. It took him a while before he turned around and realizes that Liyi was on the same bus, and his reaction was kinda funny. The two Bukit Panjang Primary School girls were really fascinated and amused by his reaction, they couldn't keep their eyes off him. Or maybe it's their first encounter with a royalty, so they got all star-strucked and stuff, i don't know. Okay, getting off track a lil. So admidst the gloomy weather, we carried on with our plan and set off to Al-Ameen for Tom Yum, pratas and Milo/Horlick Dinosaurs. I hate Milo Dinosaurs, too sweet for me, though Horlick isn't any much better. Hahaha. It's been a while since i've been to Al-ameen and it's the first time i'm there with friends not from poly actually. Makes me kinda miss the peeps and the good ol' days. I really miss being a student. So we stayed there for quite a while since we were really bloated and the weather is kinda unpredictable. The rain kind of alternate between downpouring and drizzling, but luckily not enough to dampens the mood. After that, we then proceed to Island Creamery at Serene Centre for some local ice cream! It taste really good but i was really bloated, it took me quite a while before i finished it. I know it's just ice cream, but i was really really full then. I had teh tarik and nutella - yum! Again, we stayed there for quite a while cause it was raining cats and dogs during most of the time we're there. We talked a lot, discussed about yongsheng's birthday outing (which nothing was decided in the end) and did more gossipping. Kinda fun. Hahahaha. When the rain finally eased a little, we made our way to the bus stop and head towards Bukit Panjang Plaza for some drinks and dim sum, which tasted awful to be honest. It's supposed to be a food marathon, i know, but we spend so much time on each venue, we can't really accomplish much. But it was worth the time, cause i had a great time out with the two and i'm looking forward to sunday, when the almighty prince will join the club! Hahahaha.
.
Yesterday, met babe at City Hall after her work ended cause she needs to get some stuff from Candy Empire. It's been a long while since i've been to somewhere else other than plaza with babe, haha. So we window shopped a little, got the popcorns from Candy Empire and ate yoghurt ice cream from Frolicks (which was super good by the way) before taking a walk along Padang and Esplanade with a pack of popcorns and a cuppa juice. It's nice to take a walk under the moonlight, when it's not so hot (HIGHLY IMPORTANT to me that it's not hot), and having conversations with the friend. Took some pictures and talked some more before going home. I miss spending time with this goofball friend of mine and she is super sweet. She and my brother, both being super sweet yesterday, offered to give me money so that i can go for SingFest! Two pleasant surprises in a day. Of course i declined, although i'm dying to go for it. But seriously, the gesture alone is already enough to make me feel rich. Hahaha. I'm really touched, honestly. It kinda make me realize how lucky i am, to have people spoiling me. Hahaha. They both know how badly i wanted to go for it and they are willing to sponsor me, when they could have used those money and get stuff for themselves. Really touched. They may have just say it randomly, i don't know, but i really appreciate their kind gesture. And speaking of babe, i just signed in to msn and she sent me the sweetest and funniest offline message ever! You're the best, babe!

The Great Singapore Sales is over and i didn't managed to purchase anything. Can't really find anything that i like or even if there was something i kinda fancy, the size doesn't fit. Oh well. But the last week, i managed to get myself 2 really good stuff! Jason Mraz's "We sing, We dance, We steal things" and Dolly Parton's "Backwoods Barbie"! Great music. I love shopping for CDs, especially when there's good album, and i never get bored. Good music are worth collecting and though we can legally buy music online now, thanks to modern technology which makes everything less of a hassle, I'd still rather spend some time in CD retail outlet and purchasing an actual hard copy of it. I don't know why actually, but I'm really fascinated by the inlays, or the lyrics booklet, whatever it is called. I think we, or just simply me, are very visual people. Seeing pictures of the artistes, especially my idols in this case, reading the lyrics and trying to understand the message underneath it all as well as the "Thank You" message. I love all these. And they are my prized possession. I seldom touch them again after i transfer them into my player cause i don't want to ruin those good stuff. Hahaha. So i'm really really skeptical if people were to borrow them from me cause i'm really afraid they would ruin it. I would consider a small fold at the edge ruined. Like i've said, i'm really particular when it comes to my CDs. Not that i'm being selfish or anything, but everyone has got something they treasure and collect, like how some people collects expensive figure of anime characters or the good ol' stamp or vinyl record or even watches. So mine is CD, cheap stuff as compared to others! Hahahaha. Okay okay, let's move on to the albums. Firstly, i shall ramble about the album that got me searching highs and lows for months, Dolly's "Backwoods Barbie". This is a really hard album to find, in all honesty, cause i thought that since Dolly is such a legend, her album would be available in our tiny little dot. Who knew, it took 4 months before it's imported here. I know country isn't recognized or anything, but in HMV, there's a country section, along with the classicals. But hey, at least i found it! Dolly Parton is Dolly Parton, music legend and country diva. This is her first mainstream country music after going bluegrass for close to a decade and all i can say is, I LOVE IT. 9 of the album cuts are written by the legend herself, since she is such a remarkable songwriter ( perfect example? Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and of course "9 to 5" ). Close to all the songs actually have potential to be a single. Something so special about Dolly Parton is her voice, which can literally touch your heart. She has got that special "X" factor, which is really rare actually. Go see some of her performance on "YouTube" and you'll see why. When she sings sad songs, like for instance "Made of Stone", "Cologne", "The Tracks of My Tears" and "I Will Forever Hate Roses" from this album, you feel the pain. When she's singing sassy upbeat songs like "Better Get To Livin" or "Shinola", you'll find yourself smiling and tapping your feet along to the melody. You might even want to add in some fingers snapping. Then when it comes to inspirational songs like "Jesus & Gravity" and "Somebody's Everything", you really feel good after listening to it. It's all great country songs, and i really really love it. If only i could see her in person performing live, that would be a dream come true. She has a the stage presence like no other, and i'm willing to pay big bucks (as if i have, haha, by hypothetically speaking still) to listen to her sing "Coat of Many Colours" and "Jolene". Actually, i would love to hear her sing any song cause most of it are great classics.

Moving on, Jason Mraz's latest released as well, "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things". I've never been a crazy fan of his prior to this, even though i really like his radio hits like "The Remedy", "You and I Both" and "Mr A - Z". But somehow or rather, i got interested in his music after hearing his first single off this album, "I'm Yours", and not being able to get that song off my head, i went to YouTube and sample some of his other songs. They are FANTASTIC. So i got really tempted and lastly, caved in. But i'm not complaining though, cause it's an awesome album. I love his ballads, and the message behind it. My favourite would definitely be "Love For A Child". Oh my god, i can't think of any song better than this in recent years. It's the bomb, as pe Randy Jackson (again). Hahaha. But seriously, i think this is the greatest song i've heard in many many years! The voice, the arrangement, the lyrics, everything! On this album, there's 2 collaborations, one with Colbie Caillat and the other with James Morrison. The former was the song called "Lucky", which is nothing but great. I've already gushed over it in one of the previous entry. Then with the latter, it's this amazing masterpiece called "Details in the Fabric". Both singers voice really complemented each other and blend in really well together. AMAZING. Then there's "A Beautiful Mess", "Live High" and "If It Kills Me", all really wonderful ballads. Okay, i've seriously run out of vocabulary to desbribe how great these albums are, though i gotta admit that my vocab is really limited. Hahaha. But all in all, great buys. Fantastic albums.

10 July, Thursday
Met up with Eugene and Yong Ming for lunch and movie cause the former's enlisting the next day. It has been a while since i last saw the two of them, so there's definitely a lot to catch up on! Tried to catch up on each other's life as well as the whatsnot. Lunch at Swensen's before catching the 2.20 pm timeslot of The Strangers. This is my first movie since Christmas Eve last year, which is close to 7 months! It was Alvin and the Chipmunks with Liyi and peeps, if i'm not wrong. I'm really not a movie person. In fact, i absolutely hate going for movie. That is probably the last place i would frequent if i had to choose. Plus, i detest popcorns. But i guess it wouldn't hurt to catch one every now and then, if requested by the friends. I'm okay with the idea if someone suggested it, but you'll never hear it coming from my mouth. Unless that is a REALLY REALLY good movie that i want to watch. Anyway, the movie was an absolute waste of money and time, and the storyplot is really weak. I gotta add in that i'm not a fan of sudden loud noise and shrieking, those you find in thrillers, so i'm covering my ears and half-shutting my eyes for almost half the show. After that, we shopped around Plaza Sing before i had to leave to meet up with my ex colleagues from SGX. Was there earlier than the appointed time and have to wait for them to finish closing, before cabbing down to SGH to visit Janet, who just had an op. We stayed for about an hour before going for dinner and heading home. I didn't really talk a lot during the visit cause i'm not all close to everyone and thus, settled for the shy persona. Was dead beat when i reached home, haha.
11 July, Friday
Today's the last day of Yas' ONE-FREAKING-YEAR attachment, so all of us met in Plaza around mid afternoon to just slack around with some drinks and finger food. Chat and bitch and make fun of each other under a block before i had to go home and change, cause i'm meeting AMANDA BOK for dinner. My wife from poly! Hahaha. Haven't seen her in years! I think it's around 2 years since we last sit down for proper conversation. The whole meet up was spurred when we passed each other in Marina Square a couple of weeks ago. We then scheduled a dinner on msn cause we really haven't met for a long while. If only Diana was still in Singapore, we would have more fun. But it's never dull to hang around bok, trust me, she's full of nonsense and her laughter is infectious. It was a great dinner with fantastic company. I sure do miss Amanda a fair bit.
12 July, Saturday
Went swimming with cousin in the morning. Yes, i went swimming. But i didn't have any trunk, so i had to borrow from my brother, hahaha. Seriously, i can't remember the last time i touched water. I wouldn't say i went for a swim either, cause i don't know how to. So i'll just use the word "soak" in water. Then we went for lunch at IMM, plaza for some errands, home to do the necessarry stuff before heading to town for some retail theraphy for cousin. It's a good week actually, cause i get to spend time with people whom i've been able to for quite some time, and i'm really thankful for it. I seriously can't remember the last time cousin and i had the whole day for each other, but i really appreciate every single second of it cause when i'm with cousin, i can literally pour everything out to her. She the best companion one can ever ask for. But again, i was EXHAUSTED by the end of the day.
13 July, Sunday
Went for desserts at Tony Roma's with Liyi and HuiYing. Well, it all started a week ago, where Liyi and I happened to catch the same show at home, which was the repeat of "Sweets for my Sweet", hosted by Michelle Cheong and Jade Seah. A few days later, Liyi was talking to me on msn about how she's having this craving for desserts, and i then told her the same thing. So end up, both of us are having cravings for the same thing!! So there we are, finally being able to satisfy what we've been thinking of for a week. It was finger licking good, but the portion was slightly too filling. Hahahaha.
APPLE CRISP! I love apples, the crumbs, the caramel and the vanilla ice cream! It's the perfect combo.
Skillet Cookie Sundae. Yummilicious!
Potato Skin. This totally won me over. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good, just a tad oily. But otherwise, it's heavenly!

I finally finished it! I was damn bloated by then.

I seriously couldn't finish this. The other two have long given up eating.

14 July, Monday
It's the day i've been looking for every single day when all is confirmed, outing with Yas, Nazi and Meow!! We went to Vivo to have lunch first, which was at Secret Recipe. I loveeeee their Tom Yum, simply one of the best. Having nice food is one thing, it's the company that matters most. I had a BLAST with the peeps and we were constantly bickering, laughing, chatting and mocking fun of each other. We then went to camwhore, shopped around the place before going home in the late afternoon. It was really an enjoyable and fufilling day. I can't seem to find a word to express how happy i was this day, cause i really really had a fantastic time with the friends. Upon reaching home, rested a while before going out for dinner cause it's Mummy's birthday!! I love my mummy to bits! Dinner was great, and i was bloated like shit.

Meow is so going to kill me after seeing this picture posted. HAHAHA!

ATTACK!

CAMWHORING TIME!

The sun was blinding that day, everyone had such a hard time opening their eyes. EXCEPT ME! Hahahaha. Sorry, it's nothing worth boasting about actually.

So while posing with Yas, they wanted us to act sexy. So i did the following, and it freaked all of them out, hahaha.
And meow was fast enough to capture it. But come on! I'm not really licking her!

15 July, Tuesday
Met Weiqi in town for shopping and dinner. Was late, as usual, my apologies. I'm trying real hard to kick this habit, trust me, and there are some days where i'm early okay! Hahahaha. Seldom am i, but i'm trying! We shopped around, got some stuff and headed to Marina Square for dinner at Waraku. I miss hanging out with this best friend of mine, and we did a lot of catching up and talking. It's a fruitful day and we were both dead beat on our way home that we both fell asleep on the bus. hahaha. But it's all good, i had fun. Can't wait to see her again!
16 July, Wednesday
Today's SLACK day! Went to Nazi's place to chill and have lunch. Her mommy cooked the BEST MEE GORENG in SINGAPORE! Seriously! I always helped myself to extra servings, and i'm not kidding you on that. I seldom eat more than one serving but whenever i'm at her place for lunch, i'm a GLUTTON! Hahahaha. Even Meow was helping herself with more, you should know how great it is! HAhahaha. It's a pretty simple day, with us chilling around, having yoghurt, milk tea made by her mom (which was REALLY GOOD too), watch cable, read magazine, chit chat and looked at frog. Well, the frog was thrown into the fish tank for the fish to eat but after a while, we tried to locate the frog but couldn't. So we thought the fish must have eaten it while we were watching tv, but turns out that it jumped out from the tank and landed on the floor! Amazing. Hahaha. So we placed the frog back into the tank and observe it for the next ten minutes. Again, froggie ( as we call it ) has a really strong willpower, and it did the same thing again by climbing onto the pump, composed itself before taking one big leap towards that small tiny gap very high above it. It tried twice actually, but failed both times. Look at how bored we were! Hahaha. But we had a great time. Nazi's starting work tomorrow, so i guess we wouldn't be meeting each other for the whole day like today and Monday often, but i enjoyed myself tremendously on both days. Alright, it's a long post and i shall end here. To sum it up, it's a great week with lotsa wonderful meet ups, and i'm greedy for more! I really love my friends!

When you pair Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat together, you'll have a "blazing, molten hot" song, as per Randy Jackson. I'm so tempted to buy Jason Mraz's latest album "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things", after getting hooked to his first single "I'm Yours". The whole album is very laid back and chill-out and very pleasant. It really makes you feel real good listening to those songs. Especially the collaboration with Colbie Caillat called "Lucky", which is pure heaven. I WANT TO GO SINGFEST!!

I always have bad luck with Animal Planet, seriously. Was flipping through the channels just now and finally settled for Animal Planet, only to be shown a video of a deer giving birth. And i'm dumb, and numb, to watch the entire process of that little creature popping out of its mother's back. I use the word "back" because i can't tell if it's their butthole or vah-jay-jay, and i don't really want to know. Let me get this straight first, i know human babies are delivered from the vah-jay-jay, but i don't really know if the same applies for animals. Look, the world is WEIRD, so i wouldn't know! But my main point is, it is the most horrifying thing ever. I swear, i'd rather watch The Exorcist a million times than to catch an animal in labor again, even if it's only on TV. And to think that some guys even went in to videotape their wife giving birth? I would be scarred for life. Thank god my parents aren't IT savvy, and rich, enough to cultivate such habit. Ew ew ew ew ew. I can't shake that image off my mind. No offence to animal lovers, i do respect them and love them. Just that, you know, those thing scares me a little. I know this doesn't help in my already not-so-musculine image but come on! Like i've said many times, let those animals have some privacy. Actually, i'm partly at fault as well cause i should have known better. Never mind. I think i need to meditate for a couple of days now.

I want...
To attend SingFest cause the line up include Alicia Keys (no kidding!), OneRepublic (yes, Mr Apologize), Rick Astley (you know this song in the 80's called Never Gonna Give You Up? Ya-huh, that's him!) and Jason Mraz (Holy cow!) among the other list of artistes in the Sunday (3rd August) show. There's Panic! At the Disco and Simple Plan for the Saturday gig. Man! I want to go!! But it's $200 for the Sunday gig, cause it has all the bigger name.

AND

I want to take a roadtrip to Genting to attend MTV Asia Award this year, cause British songbird and one of my current idol, Leona Lewis, will be taking the stage! Leona-freaking-lewis. Did i sound real fangirl in this post?

Never mind. This is real random. And bullshit.

I miss Diana. Like, real badly. Last week was pretty rough, and i don't know why (really, i have absolutely no reason to feel this way, but i just do) and i was missing Diana like nuts. Then 2 days later, she called. You have no idea how much that call means to me. No, i'm not in love with her, that's only in soap operas. She's just, such a great friend. Talking to her always make me feel so much better. Can i have her back in Singapore? Hopefully she'll find a Singapore boyfriend in the Phil to knock her up, so she'll have to marry here. No, i'm just kidding. I REALLY AM KIDDING. And, i miss school. It feels weird not being a student, after being one for so long. And, i want to buy Dolly Parton's cd, Backwoods Barbie, real badly. But they're not found anywhere in our tiny island. She's Dolly! Queen of Country! Wait, i forgot that not many people listens to country. Never mind. And, i can go on forever with my "And", it'll be never ending. My brain never stop thinking and i find myself with sudden surge of thoughts every single second. "I want to eat...", "I should buy ...", "What if ...", "Maybe ..." , "I want to learn ..." It never stops! But they're mostly pretty useless stuff, so i can just chuck them aside pretty easily. Man, i'm getting boring and bored. I'm just rambling on and on. Maybe i should get a one month job. Maybe.
