It's been a while since i last updated this space and over the past month, life has been very eventful i must say. Enlisted for slightly over 2 months now and NS is definitely an eye-opener for country bumpkins like me. During this period, i get to do lots of stuff i would never in a million years thought i would be doing and i learn a lot about myself, people, life and military. It's just so many things that i can't just phrase it into a paragraph or two. But to sum things up, i would describe my NS life thus far in the following way.
- Get to know characters of all kind.
- Bond with my bunk mates as well as some platoon mates
- Become Platoon IC for a week
- Just came back from an unforgettable field camp which rained all 6 days we're there
- First time sleeping in basha, cowboy style as well as trench
- And many other interesting, funny, tiring experience which i seriously don't know how to pen it down.
Like i said, just came back from field camp on thursday where we rushed back to company line in the afternoon to wash up and booked out in late noon. Was super exhausted because no one caught any glimpse of sleep the previous night due to the super heavy downpour. Ate like a glutton for the past 2 days and went out with my section mates last night for dinner at Earle's Swensen as well as chillin at the open area after that till midnight. It was our section's first outing and i had tons of fun!

Meow - Definitely, for sure, she would get the dictionary. I would have given her an encyclopedia if i had one, but too bad. Anyway, she'll need it real bad and the reason for it shall remain unknown.
Yas - I wish i could give her my penmanship because seriously, she has got the most out-of-this-world penmanship i've ever withness. It's too perfect that it looks kind of robotic. And, mine is pretty decent. So i'll hope for her to have that. And maybe my shoes cause, erm, she can fit into them just nice. Okay, not going to elaborate on that.
Nazi - Half of the photographs i've developed and kept in my box of nonsense. The other half would obviously go to my family. But nazirah, being the sentimental soft hearted teddy bear, will without a doubt be getting those photographs.
LeeLian - I would have wanted to give her my camera, but since she just only recently purchased her very cool bling (it's AMAZING), i think she would then have to settle for my autographed Simple Plan and Daughtry's album because these are the two concerts we went together and had plenty of fun. Oh, and she'll get the chinese dictionary so that she can really brush up on her mandarin. Oh!!! And my"Where's Wally?" book! Shoot, i just thought of another one. LeeLian will also get my mouth!! I know how much she don't really like her small mouth, so she can have mine. It's not perfect, but it's passable. Wow, i'm giving her a lot of stuff!!
Then, let's move on to the other group of wonderful secondary school friends.
WeiQi - This is a tough one. Hmmmmm. She will get my hand. Ya, i think that's what i would give her. Well, since she really love handmade stuff, and i love making my own cards for people, she can have them! You can never complain about having too many hands right!!
LiYi (my other Xiao Huang) - All the birthday cards i've received through the years. Reason being, we kind of agree that sometimes, we tend to run out of things to write in a card, so we would only include all the basic stuff like "good luck" or "friends forever" kind of thing. So by having all those cards, she can take reference to those and try to maybe widen her knowledge in card writing. Hahaha.
HuiYing (Da Jie) - Hmm. She'll get the handphone deco we bought together in Hong Kong and erm...... The moulin rouge soundtrack she and liyi bought for me in sec 3. I wanted to give her the cards as well, but she is sort of good in writing cards, expecially since she has that magic in making our dear prince cry upon reading her message. So i'm sure she don't need any reference anymore. Haha.
YongSheng - Since i'm a person who honor my words, he will definitely get my bolster. It's kind of weird and creepy, but i do love my bolster a lot. Good dreams, bad dreams and the occassional saliva. I think the value of my bolster, in my opinion that is, will one hundred percent fit his royal image just nice.
Then it's my favourite Poly peep, Diana!
She will get my Britney's "Blackout" album as well as my grey topman tee, the one which both of us bought. Britney, because we are both such a fan and for the tee, it's to remind her of me! I know, kind of scary that i want someone to wear me out but still, i'm sure she won't mind. Oh, and also the Cali gym bottle we got when we went for the one week trial. I'm sure she'll remember how much laughter we had that day.
Then my beloved cousin, who would have the poem (if that is what i should call it) she wrote me for my 18th. I love it so much, it has been pasted next to my bed ever since. I would read it every once in a while and find myself smiling at it. Also, she would have Jason Mraz's "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things" and Colbie Caillat's "Coco" abum. Maybe she can sell the latter, which is autogrpahed, for a little money. Haha. Just kidding. We are both such huge fan of the two and i'm sure she'll love the albums.
Actually, i still got quite a few stuff left and i still don't know who i should give.
- My wadrobe of clothes - i would give them to my brothers, since i sometime share with my elder brother, but they kind of hate my dress sense. So i'm still wondering about this.
- My cd collection over the past few years. I am a cd person. I hate downloading. I love it when things are tangible and that i can touch and read the "Thank you" message. And it's a lot of effort in making those album, with the photoshoot and stuff, so i kinda hate it when people download songs and not but any. So my cds are my precious, and i'm still not sure who i should give them to. Obviously, my Kellie Pickler, Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood albums are not going anywhere. I'm still kind of selfish in a sense, also because i know my friends wouldn't like country and/or american idol. Maybe Nazirah or LeeLian, since they are the only 2 who actually listen to english music, but i'm still not sure.
- My laptop. My very very old and slow laptop who has a tantrum of itself. It has accompanied me throughout my poly life and it is very close to being my best mate. Very close, that is, if it is not that damn freaking heavy to carry around.
- My personal diary. Hmm. Maybe i'll give it to someone with a really big mouth, because i think i bitch about quite a few people inside, so after reading it, the big mouth can then help me spread my words. Hahahahaha.
- My mp3 player with so many wonderful songs that i listen to all day long. You know how sometimes, you just don't know how to express yourself, but music seems to be able to. Ya, i think my mp3 is cool and magical.
Yeah, so far, this is what i've come up with. Will continue to work on it. It's never too early to write your own will!!

Then there're lots of wonderful performances this year like Rihanna's "Disturbia", Kid Rock's "All Summer Long", Christina Aguilera's latest song which sounded really edgy and futuristic - that girl is one hell of a risk taker musically. Raging from the girl next door look in "Genie In A Bottle", sexy stripper look in "Dirrty", 50's pin up girl in "Ain't No Other Man" to this year's time travelling "Keeps Getting Better". Lastly, my favourite performance would be from Pink with her latest single "So What". I just love Pink. She is a unique, edgy, cool, daring and definitely far from typical rocker chic. It's a kickass performance.
Dinner was with LeeLian. Waited for her at International Plaza before we head to Balmoral for Waffletown. Burger, fries and waffle. Sinfully delicious meal, especially the burger. Then it was off to Holland V for frolicks, which is obviously very very very nice. I can't seem to find any fault in yogurt ice cream topped with granola and some crunchy bits which i can't remember the name of. Thanks babe for the wonderful time this past week!
