Everything about my life right now seems so surreal. It's just like a bad nightmare that i desperately try to wake up from but to no avail. Actually, it's not that horrifying and i ain't that depress but the projects are driving me nuts. I haven't seen, or even talk, to anyone outside of the poly clique for the past week. And this is going to last till next monday, days before Chinese New Year. I don't even have time to go shopping for clothes, and have to resort to asking LeeLian to help me buy the one that i tried on when we went for late night shopping last friday. Even a tortoise has a more interesting life than me right now. I miss the friends terribly and my social life is frozen at zero. Not only is my social life non-existent, so is the time i get to spend watching TV. The only time i get to watch TV lately is every morning, those minutes while i was waiting to go to school. The school's library is slowly becoming my home instead of my real home. Gosh, i need to stop whining. Alright, enough of complaining and back to, what else but, the projectssss.

I finally got a day to myself and not having to do project with the friends. The constant rushing to meet the deadlines are taking a toll on everyone and it's great to rest for a day, even though we are seriously behind schedule. On a brighter note, i finally managed to meet someone outside of the poly clique! That person is none other than my boo, the babelicious Lee Lian! Babe came over my place to meet me in the evening and i passed her her advanced birthday gift - havaianas flip flop. Hope she likes it. The reason for asking her over is to let her try on and see if the size fit so that we can save on the hassle of bringing that weight along. So turns out that it fit just nice, and we head to town for some shopping, food and fun! Lee is very nice to accompany me for Chinese New Year shopping, and we hunt around town throughout most of the night but i only managed to get a white berm in the end. With the stomach growling, we went to have XXL chicken and smoothies from Mango Lingo, some light snack first cause we were thinking of having Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. But when we finally managed to reach that place at 10.18pm, we were late by 3 minutes! Hahaha, fine. Since we weren't that hungry anymore, we cross over to Central for desserts at Paisley & Cream. Really really really nice, to be completely honest. I LOVE the strawberry cheesecake. My only problem with that place is that the fruit juice is kinda overpriced. Eight bucks for a glass of apple, strawberry and blueberry juice is not something i would normally pay for. But still, it taste real good though. Hahaha. Were damn bloated by the time we finished everything, cause we ordered too much. Took tons of silly weirdass pictures down there and laughed so hard because it's silly and embarrassing. Loitered around Clarke Quay after that in hope to burn one tenth of the calories intake before heading home. It's already past midnight when i reached my nest and i hit the sack not too long later cause i've been out for an entire day, with projects discussion from the morning till late afternoon. Speaking of that, there's project meeting tomorrow. A Sunday! Like Mr Adrian said, we are basically living together now. Anyway, i had a fantastic night out with my babe and it couldn't happen at a better time. It allows me to catch a nice breather in between the hectic project marathon as well as catch up with this nonsensical friend of mine. She made me laugh ALL NIGHT LONG. Literally. Her rendition of "The Tide is High" is something you wouldn't want to miss! Thanks so much my booooooo! Hope you like your gift and whatever birthday message i have for you will be written in the card. Happy Birthday in advance!
*Pictures*
Lee and her present.
We are so close, we change in the same fitting room! Muahahaha. Believe it. Or not.
It's LeeLian time.
I hate taking pictures with the right side of my face, but i succumb under Lee's constant pressure of calling me a bimbo!

She's SCARED! No la, she just want to show off her scarf. Or whatever that's called. Don't say it's from IKEA OKAY! Only people with no taste will say that, right Lee?
I'm shy!Our desserts...

See how greedy this young lady look?
LeeLian imitating the couple we saw on the bus. She has a hard time keeping her eyes off them. Very obvious being that the couple is very well around our age, and they take pictures with that "act cute" pose, which is really fascinating.
CHEERS!

Look how serene she is. Must be because she's dreaming of me, hahahahaha!
Being fed by the missus.
My turn to look greedy. Thank for the shot Lee Lian! There's even a crumb on my lips!! Gross shit. Hahaha.

Me and the old lady.

We decided to follow suit the couple we saw on the bus earlier and try our best in pulling off the "finger posing" shots. Here's 1 and 2.
Again.
3 and 4.
FIVE!
6 and 7
eight!
number 9...
TEN! Seriously, we had such a tough time posing because it's so not us to be "acting" cute. And it's so hilarious, especially with the waitress just a few feet away, staring at us. AND, we're sitting beside the glass panel, next to the walkway where shoppers pass us by. But it's loads of fun.

We are at a HIGH place.
Last shot.

Exhausted is probably the only word that can describe my feeling right now. Project meeting this morning, followed by revision lecture for SM and then Cocktail Party for IBS. Cocktail party was just, weird? It's so funny trying to act like we're in this cocktail party, networking with people and stuff like that. Of course, most importantly we must introduce ourselves to the tutor and strike a conversation before breaking away. Can you believe we're actully judged on that? It's kinda fun but at the same time, it's so fake! Well, at least we learn something. Haha. After everything was done, YongMing, Eugene and I head down to town for Chinese New Year shopping. Nothing really catches the eyes today and only end up getting a pair of jeans from Topman. We definitely display the "kiasu" spirit over there because we're able to get a membership card if we spent more than $150 on a single receipt. So the three of us were busy looking for stuff to top that amount. Actually, all our stuffs add up to $145, so we're scrambling around trying to find something small to reach that quota. I tell you, that 5 bucks actually made us running around that shop for approximately 20 minutes before YongMing finally settled for a ring. And the friends, being nice as they normally are, gave me the card! Hahaha. King of Cheap i definitely am! On the other hand, i'm so stressed! I haven't gotten ANYTHING done for Chinese New Year! All i gotten so far is a pair of jeans and i don't know when is the next time i'm free to shop cause there's project meeting EVERYDAY until next week! And i don't really want to shop during that few days before the big day cause i'll have little time to consider and simply buy on impulse, which will end up in getting crappy shit which i would dump aside after a while. Oh man! Hahahaha. Never mind, will try to squeeze in some time in between projects for some shopping. Hopefully! Anyway, following the shopping trip, i rushed home cause the family was waiting for me to go out for dinner. Managed to reach on time, thank goodness, and had a really filling meal. Now, after i click on the "Publish" button, i'll have to go back to doing report. How exciting.
Oh yes, before i forgot. I finally managed to clear Sidney Poitier's autobiography on Sunday and honestly, i didn't really feel as inspired as i wished to, after all the buzz about it. Maybe my expectations are too high, or because my command of English is REALLY bad. I just don't really get some of the points he want to point out. But i did learn something from the book. It may not be a lot, but i still think it's worth it. Nobody say we must be "enlightened" after reading this book right? Hahaha. I think it's not about being all "i need to behave like an angel now", but rather, whether or not i learn something which will benefit me for a long time. This book surely made me respect this man, even with his flaws. Perspective towards certain issues were also broadened, which i hope is a good thing. Lastly, WISP tutor showed us a mini documentary last thursday and i think it's really an eye-opener. That few minute clip definitely taught me A LOT about our world, with regards to Globalization. It's called "Shift Happens". Really educating.

Met the favourite people today! The last time all 4 of us met was last year! Hahaha, not literally a YEAR according to the calendar year but rather, december of year 2007. And we're in 2008 now! Anyhow, it was balls of fun! They're the umbrella of my life (ella ella eh eh). I turn to them whenever i need the shelter away from the crazy-at-time-mundane-at-time life. We didn't really do much actually. We just embrace the comfort of each other's company and talk. Talk about literally EVERYTHING. I even recommend Yas 2 indian novel, providing her a short synopsis of each book! See, i can just interpret from the pictures okay! I'm TRILINGUAL. Yeah right, hahaha. Yas doesn't like the camera too near her face. So we took it from AFAR~
My people! Anyway, it's time to bring back old school!! I'm just kidding. But i've been listening to really old songs lately. All from my favourite Britney. From "Ooops! I did it again" to "Hit me baby one more time..." to "Toxic". Everything! She never fail to produce hit songs. Lastly, i've decided that maybe, MAYBE, i might be an environmentalist! I guess the poly friends would agree with me on this one cause i tend to nag when they litter. And Bee call me "Rubbish Bin Minister". Heck, might as well live up to this name! Of course, i would want to change the word rubbish bin to environment! Hahaha. Wouldn't it be cool for someone who's NOT into politics to join? I need to start practising my wave now.

Gosh, i'm so disappointed in myself. IBS Solution Selling call was today, and i let the nerve got the best of me. I actually blanked out halfway through the conversation! I literally paused for 5 seconds, without speaking! Imagine doing that if you were to meet a client in the real world! And, i let my mind control my behavior. I was on the verge of throwing out my guts. Data Gathering Call went very well the other time but this time round, it's an utter mess. I know, i know, the grade ain't that bad. But i've set such high standards for myself, and yet i went there so unprepared. I guess the tutor is really nice, he didn't really deduct a lot of points for my mistakes, i presume. Haha. Good thing is, no more one-to-one presentation to the tutor! Nevertheless, this shall serve as a wake up call that i should be more prepared for Dining Etiquette and Cocktail Party! Anyway, was rushing for projects the past couple of day and finally managed to catch some breather today. So now, i'm going to continue reading Sidney Poitier's autobiography, The Measure of a Man. I'm about a quarter through and it's rather hard to digest, i must say. Mr Poitier is a man who has a lot of philosophy and his sentence structure sometimes seems like reading a poem. Haha. But it's okay, i'll still finish reading it. I have nothing but love for the school's library. It has EVERYTHING you're looking for!
